Norwegian Salmon for Lunch?

Norwegian Salmon for Lunch? Yum Yum!

Stuffing Fungus

Is this where I caught the stuffing fungus?

The very hungry horse at the Jaermuseet

He said he was a bit peckish, but he wouldn't touch the grass I went and got for him. How rude!

Corylus avellana

Corylus avellana: The European hazel.
See I was listening to that nice man showing us round the park, even if I did get told off for giggling at his funny accent. Twice!! Sorry.

Fisketorget Bergen

Down the fish market in Bergen this morning.
Got a sharp nip on the nose from one of these! I was only giving it a sniff it to see if it was fresh enough for breakfast!

Wet felted Sweets

Licorice Allsorts: Like them or hate them?

Rugly's home made wet felted sweets:

Wet Felting Fun

Wet felting, good clean fun and makes your paws all soft at the same time. Rugly

Itchy Yet?

Visiting your local science museum can really end up making you itchy. Rugly

Love is all you need

Love is all you need. But probably not so environmentally acceptable to carve it into a tree. Bound to be something that adds to your carbon footprint or something! Rugly

Geocaching With Rugly

Went GPS treasure hunting at the weekend. Can't believe what fun it is, you have just got to give it a go if you have not already! Bet there is a box within 1km of where you live and you just never knew it!

Furry Friend

Stopped to help a furry friend cross the road, but it all went a bit wrong. I do let people walk all over me sometimes!

Tai Chi

Tai Chi in the early morning! Such a great idea, but I'd rather just have an extra half hour in bed!

The Dummy Tree

Took little Ida to the dummy tree today. She did not quite grasp the concept! She thought it was some sort of spares shop and started collecting a few extras in case of future losses. Just imagine it...being arrested for stealing dummies from the dummy tree. Kleptomania in the under threes is apparently a common problem, I'm told.

Maybe one day she'll give up her little addiction. Hopefully before she hits her teens.

Don't ever eat these!

Amanita muscaria, commonly known as the fly agaric

Warning: Don't even touch these let alone eat one!

My very own Crisps

Busy in the kitchen developing a possible prototype new crisp. Yes you guessed it! The Rugly Puffs Crisp. How cool would that be?

Tortoise Shell Butterfly on Sunflower

I was just climbing up this sunflower to get a good photo when.... this beautiful butterfly landed on it. I looked it up on the internet and it's call a tortoise shell butterfly. But she told me her name was Betty. Rugly

Looking for a new boat at Obrestad

I'm looking for a new boat. But this one is a bit too big. Nice though! Just think of all the fish you could catch with a boat like this! Obrestad, Norway. Rugly

Thank you

A huge thank you to everyone who came to visit me at this years Stavanger PWC craft fair. It was great to meet you and I really enjoyed showing off all the wooden things I've been busy with. Signed lots of my books too so it was a really fun two days. Rugly

Bird on your head

Excuse me, but did you know you have a bird on your head. Mosvannsparken, Stavanger

These look nice

These look nice, but I'm not going to eat them. Rugly

There just has to be some honey in here somewhere! I just have to get these pesky bees to buzz off. Rugly.

Take a visit to the Jaermuseet / Vitengarden it's brilliant fun for the whole family.

Birch Tree Climb

Can you still see me? Getting your camouflage just right is much harder than you think. Rugly in the park in Stavanger by Siddis Hallen.

Family Day Out

Adverts for the local family day out: posted on farm equipment is popping up like toad-stalls round here just now. I guess it's just an autumn thing?

Sand Dunes

Beautiful afternoon's walk down the beach. Freezing cold though! Selle, Norway

Very Cold Surfers

Can you believe this pair? A man and lady just popping down the beach for a surf in November at Selle, Norway

Sandy Dandy

Surprising what plants and flowers do grow through the sand dunes. How about this beautiful dandy lion. Myth has it that if you pick them then you will wet the bed that night... Never noticed this to be a problem myself. Rugly.
